Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using woodandspoonai.com(the “Service”) operated by the Wood & Spoon AI team (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Wood & Spoon AI is a recipe management platform that allows users to create, store, organize, and share recipes. The Service includes AI-powered tools for generating recipes from text prompts and food photographs, importing recipes from external sources, managing meal plans, and connecting with other users.
2. User Accounts
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- Keep your password secure and not share it with others.
- Notify us immediately at hello@woodandspoonai.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3. User Content and Ownership
You own your content.Recipes, photos, notes, and other content you create or upload to the Service (“User Content”) remain your property. We do not claim ownership over your User Content.
By uploading or creating User Content on the Service, you grant Wood & Spoon AI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and other users you choose to share with. This license ends when you delete your content or your account.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit, and that your content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
4. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate recipes and food photos. Regarding AI-generated content:
- Recipes and images generated by our AI tools are provided to you for your personal use. You may use, modify, and share AI-generated recipes as your own.
- Wood & Spoon AI does not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or completeness of AI-generated recipes. Always use your judgment when preparing food, especially regarding allergens, cooking temperatures, and food safety.
- AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, inconsistencies, or impractical suggestions. We are not liable for outcomes resulting from following AI-generated recipes.
- We do not use your personal data or recipe content to train AI models.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
- Share harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content, including content that is defamatory, obscene, or harassing.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its related systems.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or collect data from the Service without our written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Impersonate any person or entity or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use the AI generation features to produce illegal, harmful, or deceptive content.
6. Intellectual Property
The Wood & Spoon AI name, logo, website design, and original content created by us (excluding User Content) are the intellectual property of Wood & Spoon AI and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including our database and authentication provider, our AI processing provider, our image generation provider, our email delivery provider, and our hosting provider. Your use of these integrations is subject to those providers' own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WOOD & SPOON AI AND ITS OWNER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES RESULTING FROM FOLLOWING AI-GENERATED RECIPES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
